West Sedona School Ms. Kathy welcomes her new classroom aquarium! The tank is all set up and ready—rescued fish will be moving in next week. We’re so excited to partner with Ms. Kathy and her curious young students as part of our Little Tanks, Big Lessons program!
An empty tank today, a learning adventure tomorrow. This classroom aquarium is prepped and cycling—a safe and enriching home in the making for rescued fish and a hands-on science tool for students.

At Northern Arizona Aquarium Rescue, we believe that every fish deserves a second chance—and every child deserves the chance to learn from the world around them. Little Tanks, Big Lessons is our classroom outreach program that transforms surrendered aquarium animals and equipment into living learning experiences for elementary school students.
Our first classroom installation is just the beginning. These rescued tanks are more than just decorations—they’re windows into biology, responsibility, empathy, and environmental stewardship. Each setup gives students the opportunity to care for living creatures, learn about aquatic ecosystems, and discover the impact of giving animals a new home.

If you are no longer able to care for your aquatic pet, Northern Arizona Aquarium Rescue offers a compassionate surrender process. To donate a fish or schedule a time to meet our adoptable residents, please visit us at our location inside the Golden Bone Pet Shop in Sedona Arizona. Give these beautiful creatures a second chance at a healthy, happy life in a forever home.
